$100,000 GUARANTEED ALL STAKES PICK FOUR TO BE OFFERED ON ROAD TO THE DERBY KICKOFF DAY

Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots will be offering a $100,000 guaranteed All Stakes Pick 4 (50-cent minimum wager) on Saturday’s Road To Derby Kickoff Day program.

The sequence of races is as follows:

Leg 1: Race 9: $75,000 Louisiana Stakes (4:22 p.m. CT)

Leg 2: Race 10: $125,000 Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap (4:51 p.m. CT)

Leg 3: Race 11: $150,000 Silverbulletday Stakes (5:20 p.m. CT)

Leg 4: Race 12: Grade III $200,000 Lecomte Stakes (5:49 p.m. CT)

The All Stakes Pick 4 will kick off in the Louisiana Stakes (Race 9), which is a mile-and-a-sixteenth event over the main track for 4-year-olds and upward which features Honorable Duty, a three-times stakes winner at Fair Grounds.

The second leg is the Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap which is scheduled to be run over the Stall-Wilson Turf Course for 4-year-olds and upward. Great Wide Open (Ire.), a  three-time winner over the local lawn, is the morning-line favorite.

The third leg is the $150,000 Silverbulletday Stakes – the first of three New Orleans prep races on Churchill Downs’ Road to the Kentucky Oaks. Grade II Golden Rod Stakes upsetter Liora and impressive allowance winners Needs Supervision and Grandaria highlight a contentious field.

The fourth and final leg is the Grade III $200,000 Lecomte Stakes, which is the first local qualifying race on the Road to the Kentucky Derby. The wide-open field of 14 sophomores includes graded stakes placed runners Plus Que Parfait and Tight Ten, both of whom have already acquired Kentucky Derby qualifying points.
