“Fair Grounds Racing Podcast” Handicaps and Hosts Racing’s Best

Chad Schexnaydar and Mike Diliberto Look at Louisiana Champions Day in Episode 3

(New Orleans – Friday, December 10, 2021) – Big days in horse racing are like Christmas. The only thing better than Christmas morning is the anticipation leading up to it, and the only thing better than watching the races is the preparation, the handicapping, the discussions and the opinions. When it comes to the local fare, know that long-time racing junkie Chad Schexnaydar has got you covered in the preparation department. The “Fair Grounds Racing Podcast” originated in 2019, but Schexnayder, who serves as the producer and host, took last year off due to COVID-19. Episode three of this current season features a deep dive into Louisiana Champions Day with clocker and morning line odds maker Mike Diliberto.

“Mike and I will handicap all the big weekends,” Schexnayder said. “Leading up to the Christmas card on the 26th we’ll do one. The next after that will be Lecomte. In between that I tape interviews with some of the top names in the game..”

A New Orleans native and former press box manager at Fair Grounds, Schexnayder knows his way around the track and who to talk to. In between the big stakes cards, Chad will sit down with the trainers, jockeys, agents, and owners who are the lifeblood of Fair Grounds horse racing. Some of the past guests include Steve Asmussen, Eveyln Benoit, Al Stall Jr., and Brian Hernandez Jr. A stringer for Bloodhorse and Louisiana Thoroughbred Magazine, we are lucky to have Chad working to celebrate the sport and the race track that we all love.

Fair Grounds Racing Podcast can be found on several outlets, including Apple Podcasts and on Spotify. Dive in and sharpen your picks for LA Champions Day.
