Mizzcan'tbewrong Wins Sunday Fair Grounds Feature

NEW ORLEANS, La. (January 4, 2009) - Last Call Racing Partnership's Mizzcan'tbewrong proved to be the right choice as she led throughout to win Sunday's featured $48,000 allowance optional claiming event for fillies and mares at Fair Grounds.

The gray daughter of Mizzen Mast set early fractions of 24.47 and 48.42 before getting the 1 1/16 miles in 1:46.64 in the race transferred to a fast main track following heavy overnight rains. 

Trained by Richie Scherer and ridden by Eddie Martin Jr., Mizzcan'tbewrong paid $18, $7.40 and $3.20 and increased her career earnings to $114,682 with her sixth win from 20 lifetime starts.

Tammy's Victress challenged for command near the eighth pole but could not get by. She held the second spot by a head to return $3.40 and $2.60, while favored Trainee got third and returned $2.40 to show.

Racing resumes Monday at Fair Grounds with a 10-race program beginning at 12:30 p.m.
