Hisse Completes Asmussen-Bridgmohan Monday Triple

NEW ORLEANS, La. (January 5, 2009) - Heiligbrodt Racing Stable's Hisse rallied boldly in the stretch to take a half-length win in Monday's $48,000 one-mile allowance optional claiming feature for state-breds at Fair Grounds.

Hisse - the third winner of the afternoon for the tandem of trainer Steve Asmussen and jockey Shaun Bridgmohan - completed the eight furlongs in 1:41.40 over sloppy going.  The race was transferred to the main track following recent rainy weather.

Hisse, who won last spring's Sarah Lane's Oates Stakes over the Stall-Wilson turf course, paid $6.80, $3.60 and $2.60 while increasing her career earnings to $249,161 with her third lifetime win from 15 career starts.

Go Atm finished second, returning $4 and $2.80, while Runaway From Itall got the third spot, paying $5.20 while a half-length farther back.

Minute Maiden, who set early fractions of 23.82 and 48.35, tired to sixth in the late stages.

Racing resumes Thursday at Fair Grounds with a 10-race program beginning at 12:30 p.m.
