Brisnet Prime Power Overlays.

One of the most consistently successful handicapping figures to be found anywhere is the Brisnet Prime Power rating. Over a long period of time the top rated runner on Prime Power has maintained a 31 percent strike rate. However, overlays can often be found by not only using the top ranked runner, but also those ranked second and third. A few examples may be found on Saturday's card at Churchill.

Race 2. Ranked top on Prime Power in this one mile claiming event on the main track is # 12 BARBATINA who is a juicy 12/1 on the morning line. While she takes a rise in class, Barbatina won her last two starts at Ellis and her trainer has won with two of his last four runners moving up one level for a ROI of +14.65.

Race 4. In a mile claimer on the grass #9 DIVINE MASTER is the top choice on Prime Power. Trained by Stephen Margolis, Divine Master was claimed from his last race at Keeneland in which he earned the Best Speed (rating) Last Race. He owns plenty of early speed and may provide value being 8/1 on the morning line.

Race 5. #2 Pacific Star is the strong favorite in this six furlong claimer but is ranked just third on Prime Power. Top ranked is #1 HE AIN'T RIGHT. Trained by William Denzik, He Ain't Right will have blinkers added for this, his second start off a layoff, and is 12/1 on the morning line.

Race 9. In this, a very competitive renewel of the grade two Mrs. Revere Stakes, # 11 KEERTANA is the third choice on Prime Power behind Hot Cha Cha and Miss World. Although the Tom Proctor trained Keertana finished behind Miss World in both her last two races, it must be noted that those events were both on soft ground. It can also be pointed out that Keertana defeated the probable favorite Hot Cha Cha on firmer ground here last year and, with a morning line of 8/1, may prove an overlay.
