Timely Advice Best in Friday's FG Feature

NEW ORLEANS, La. (January 16, 2009) - Pin Oak Stable's Timely Advice rallied boldly in the stretch to draw clear for a 3 3/4-length victory in Friday's $46,000 allowance feature at Fair Grounds.

Ridden by Patrick Valenzuela, the Malcolm Pierce trainee covered the six furlongs in an eye-opening 1:09.76. He increased his career earnings to $109,980 with his third victory in six starts and returned $5.40, $3.20 and $2.60.

Neverbeendancin', who made the early with splits of 21.88 and 45.19, easily held the second spot at the wire, paying $3.80 and $2.80, while finishing 4 3/4-lengths in front of Icetate, who returned $2.60.

Racing resumes Saturday at Fair Grounds with a 10-race program featuring the $60,000 Truly Bound Handicap for older fillies and mares.  First post Saturday is 12:30 p.m.
