Second Annual eBay Auction For Thanksgiving Dining Continues
NEW ORLEANS, La (November 10, 2008) - The second annual online auction for clubhouse dining room accommodations on Thanksgiving Day at Fair Grounds will continue this week.
The auction resumes Tuesday night and will continue through Sunday night. To bid, go to ebay.com and search "Fair Grounds Thanksgiving" or click on one of the links below.

In addition to tables that remained from the initial auction offering, other tables were released to be included in the auction.
The Thanksgiving auction offers interested parties the chance to bid on tables of six in one of six different levels in the clubhouse's tiered dining room.
A portion of the proceeds from this year's auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Bid prices will include dinner, tax, gratuity, clubhouse admission and program for each guest at the table. Successful bidders will receive tickets, program vouchers and other information in advance of Thanksgiving.
Reservations for clubhouse dining are being accepted for 86 of the 87 days of the racing season - every day except Thanksgiving - by calling (504) 943-2200 or 1-800-262-7983.
Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, the nation's third-oldest Thoroughbred racing facility, has been in operation since 1872. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds is owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ Global Select Market: CHDN); it also operates a slot-machine gaming facility and nine off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana. Fair Grounds' 137th Thoroughbred season will run from Nov. 14, 2008, through March 29, 2009, and its inaugural Quarter Horse meet was conducted from Aug. 20-24, 2008.
