Geraldine Epps of New Orleans was the lucky winner in the second of two drawings for a 2009 Toyota Yaris as part of the $65,000 Ride into Summer Car Giveaway promotion at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
"I love the Fair Grounds. What else can I say?" said Epps, a grandmother of five who elected to take the cash prize option. Epps said she will "take care of (her grandchildren) and pay some bills."
Epps only plays slots at Fair Grounds and has been a Player's Club member since 2007.
In the Ride into Summer Car Giveaway promotion, Player's Club members earned one free entry into the drawing daily and additional entries for every 50 points earned on their Player's Club card.
