'Big Brother' Open Casting Call Saturday

NEW ORLEANS, LA (April 1, 2009) - Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots will host an open casting call for the 11th season of the popular CBS series "Big Brother" Saturday from noon-4 p.m.

In conjunction with local CBS affiliate WWL-TV, Fair Grounds is expected to welcome hundreds of potential cast members, each of whom is seeking to live inside the Big Brother House with a group of strangers while multiple cameras record every move and sound 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Cast members of Big Brother 11 will compete for $500,000.

Casting call participants should use the main gates on Gentilly Boulevard to enter Fair Grounds, park in the lots on the east side of the property (nearest Gentilly) and use the east apron entrance adjacent to the racetrack. Because of ongoing preparations for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, no other entrances and parking areas are available.

Seating will be in the grandstand, while auditions will take place in the Phoenix Room on the third floor.

Participating should bring two recent pictures along with a completed application. You can download an application at wwltv.com or at cbs.com/casting.
