WHAT
The first public announcement regarding the inaugural Louisiana Derby Infield Fest, a new festival to be held in the Fair Grounds infield on Louisiana Derby Day, March 30. Modeled on the Kentucky Derby celebration at Churchill Downs, the event will feature live music by a nationally known rock band familiar with Fair Grounds (to be revealed at the press conference), as well as the largest food truck gathering in New Orleans and special VIP areas, including mobile suites and tented party spaces.

Infield Fest will coincide with the milestone 100th running of the $1 million Louisiana Derby.
Infield Fest and Louisiana Derby Day will fall on the same date as the 75th Crescent City Classic foot race, which ends that morning in nearby City Park. Fair Grounds and CCC are coordinating schedules and cross-promoting both events to make each bigger and better than ever.
