#2 STORMIN’ SOX has won every race except one since being claimed by Cody Autrey last year and if he runs his race he figures to be very tough to beat. #1 BEN’S DR. DAN has the opposite running style and will have the task of trying to run down the speedy STORMIN’ SOX. #4 TRIPLE POINTS DAY races off of a win in August and has had 6 solid works since then.

The 1 for 23 #9 BETSY LAVERNE has a history of near misses at low odds, but should get a good pace set-up today. At 8-5 on the ML, #8 LIKE NO OTHER does look like the one to beat on the class drop and with a solid work pattern. #5 ALMOST MARY is usually leading the way around the turn, it’s the holding on in the stretch that gives her difficulties.

Analysis:

So, we have 8 runners, 8 first time starters. #8 TUPLEO PLAYBOY debuts for trainer Morris Nicks, who is strong with first timers, and he has some the best works in the field. #6 PIONEERING NATIVE runs for trainer Michelle Lovell who wins with over 20% of her first time starters. #4 COACH MAC is by Gilded Time who gets winners with about 12% of his debut runners and his dam, MISS FABULOUS, has been a solid producer with two winners out of two runners although not at two years old.

#2 BIG DADDY BOY drops in class and gets back on a fast dirt track today for the always dangerous Keith Bourgeois. #4 YELLOW MEADOW looks for two in a row after a bottom level 5k maiden claiming win, but he has hit the board more often than not and while facing tougher. #3 RUBICUND makes only his second start in 8 months, but he has had 6 steady works since his September 7th race.

#4 GAL ALOUD drops in for a tag for the first time and gets back on the turf which is the surface that she seems to prefer. #7 WHO IS LADY is the likely pace setter but she gets to cut back in distance and two starts back she was a good second behind the talented Freedom Rings. #3 RECORDING CONTRACT gets back to her proper level after racing out of condition only 8 days ago and she figures to be overlooked in this deep field.

#7 BELLA MEDAGLIA is by the super hot sire Medaglia d’Oro and out of the dam Ten’s Testamony who produced the multiple graded stakes winner Duckhorn who won 744k in his career. #6 TAPACHULA ran evenly in her CD debut in June and has had 5 months and 5 solid works since then. #8 JOSAKA races off of steady and sharp recent works at Keenland and here over the FG track, many of which were near bullets.

Race 7
Analysis:

#6 POPPY’S LI’L GIRL should appreciate getting back on the grass which is definitely her best surface. #8 DAME DE MARDI GRAS is another who should like getting back on the grass and she has been in great form all year long if you throw out her last race, which was taken off of the turf. #4 PEACHESFROMTHEGITGO doesn’t have as much grass experience as some of these but she did run a game 2nd on the grass three starts back and she now makes her first start for new trainer Michelle Lovell which is a strong 25% angle.

Analysis:

#8 POSTAGE NECESSARY ran a game 3rd here on opening weekend and could be tough today making only his third start of the year and his third off a long layoff of nearly two years. #2 INCONSEQUENTIAL generally runs a game race and today cuts back in distance off of a win going a mile at Delta. #1 COCKTAIL CLARENCE does his best running when sprinting over a fast main track and that is hopefully what he will get today.

#8 SEEKING MS SHELLEY hasn’t been worse than 2nd in 5 career starts and should get a good pace set up today for this turf dash. #3 NORTHERN BELLE tries the grass for the first time today but she has handled every other surface just fine so far so it shouldn’t be a problem, and she is another who consistently runs a game race with 8 in the money finishes to show for her 10 lifetime starts. #4 DASHEL is yet another who hasn’t run a bad race yet and will likely be a factor in this deep field.

#7 ENVOY’S RUNNING is a full sister to the stakes winning Foreign Production and in her last race she defeated the talented Speedacious who won a race here on opening day by 7 lengths. #3 DOVE SHOT beat ENVOY’S RUNNING in her debut and today cuts back in distance after a couple a 7 furlong Delta races. #1 HUNT FOR CANDIE dominated a maiden special weight field on opening weekend but before that she was holding her own in open company races at PID and Keenland and could be tough again as she now takes on state-bred winners.

#4 CHOCTAW BILL has hit the board in half of his races this year, drops in class today, and may find himself as the one to catch in this rather paceless race. #6 CATSKY came off of a year long layoff to run evenly paced in some races at LAD and that could be enough for him to be a factor in here today. With his late running style #10 ZARB’S WHIRL may be compromised by the seeming lack of early pace in here, but he does get reunited with Ramsey Zimmerman today and The Zimm seems to be the one to get the most run out of him.
