Analysis
Analysis:
Unfortunately it’s pretty hard to get away from the two obvious choices in here. #2 GYPSY TRIAL is 8-5 on the morning line and although she’s missed as the favorite more than once she catches some of her lightest competition yet in here. #4 RUNS WITH THE BOYS is in good current form as she seeks two in a row today and although she usually racing over synthetic surface she does have a win over the Mountaineer main track when it was listed as good. #1 RHONDA LEG’S STORM took a class drop down to 5k to get her maiden win last time out but she did draw off by 4 lengths and she is the only other one in here, besides the top two, who is not racing off of a double digit defeat.
Analysis:
#6 BEACH VIBE ALIVE ran poorly in her one and only start to finish last, but that was back in July. She could improve today as she makes her first start for trainer Michelle Lovell, a 26% angle, and she’s been working very well recently even firing a couple of morning bullets. #11 RENATA hasn’t run a bad race yet and also has the experience edge as she makes her 5th lifetime start today. #3 P T’S GIRL figures to be a price as one of four first time starters in here and not really showing any particularly eye-catching works but she does debut for a trainer who is currently at 20% with first timers and her dam, Minute Waltz, has had 2 winners out of 3 starters as two year olds.
Analysis:
#2 STRIKE IT is one of two first time starters in this full field, but the La-bred son of Smart Strike, out of the stakes winning dam, Fuse It, landed in a relatively soft spot today, especially if he runs to that flashy breeding. #8 RUN BRICK RUN runs here off of a series of near misses at LAD and Delta as he tries to break through today with his first win as he tries the FG track for the first time. #5 CAJUN LEGEND has also had quite a few close calls and actually almost stole a race here last season at odds of 100-1. He could be sharp off of a good 4 furlong gate work on October 31st.
Analysis:
#3 INVISIBLE FORCE has been missing late while unleashing a closing stretch run on a consistent basis and will likely benefit today from the long FG stretch. #4 DALAINEY’S FRIEND could prove the one to catch with his front running tendencies in a race with a lack of a lot of other early speed and on the class drop for trainer Morris Nicks. #8 LITE FROM HEAVEN has hit the board more often than not this year and today gets back to his proper class level after a try against tougher on the turf last time out.
Analysis:
#2 COOL BULLET makes his first start since July at Delaware. He ran well in both of his races there and he has been training well over the FG track with a near bullet work on November 2nd. #3 SIR BENTLEY is one of 4 first time starters in this field of 7 and he is showing solid works over the Keenland polytrack and the FG main track with three 6 furlong works mixed in, in preparation for this 5 ½ furlong race. #4 HEY RED hasn’t run a bad race yet and today drops out of special weight company for the first time for his 5th lifetime start.
Analysis:
#2 KIM’S PRETTY KAREN won two in a row at LAD this summer and today races fresh off of the Cody Autrey claim which last year was an almost 35% angle. #4 STORM EVON hits the board more often than not and today fires fresh and drops in class back into a claimer. #9 DAB OF MAGIC was on a roll before throwing in a clunker in her last race last June at EVD. She shows up here on the class drop but she did debut in a maiden claimer and she is in good hands on the comeback for high percentage trainer Sam Breaux.
Analysis:
There no shortage of well bred runners in here, but still #6 SONG OF SIXPENCE is a standout being out of the same dam who has produced the multiple stakes winning Bedanken and also the multiple stakes winner Much Obliged who has a perfect 3-3 record over the FG turf course and most recently landed the 60k Blushing K.D. here on opening day. #9 THAT LUVIN FEELING ran a good 4th after a troubled trip at Keenland in an 80k maiden claimer. Today she is in a safe spot racing in a maiden special weight as she gets on the turf which she should like as her half-sister, South Beach Luv, was stakes placed on the grass race for these same connections. #4 GONNA is a 2nd time starter who could improve after making a nice late run at LAD last time out in her debut going today’s 1 mile distance.
Analysis:
Most of these in this deep state-bred allowance race are likely prepping for LA Champions Day. It’s hard not to like morning line favorite #4 FOREIGN PRODUCTION as he’s only been worse than 3rd one time and that was in his very first start. #2 IDE LIKE A DOUBLE is another who is tough and very consistent but lately he has been running 2nd and 3rd more than he’s been winning although quite a few of those 2nds were to the formidable Star Guitar. With his 10 lifetime wins, #6 TORTUGA STRAITS has been to the winners circle more than any of these and today he gets to cut back in distance after a mile race at Delta.
Analysis:
#3 CLASSY DEELITES is a multiple stakes winning turf specialist who likes to go to the front and battles hard to the wire. He’s been in great form this year, he’s been firing morning bullets and we did see a wire to wire turf winner on Friday’s program who happened to be ridden by none other than CLASSY’S rider today, Jaime Theriot. #7 DESERT WHEAT won this race last year but hasn’t been able to find the winner’s circle since although he does have plenty of 2nd place finishes and a solid FG turf record. #1A NOWANDFOREVERMORE is yet another who figures. He’s been in good form this year, he has a good FG turf record and note that in his most recent race he was 3rd behind Star Guitar and Ide Like a Double, so keep an eye on that one in the previous race.
Analysis:
#10 PUCKAPPEAL is a first time starter debuting for trainer Bret Calhoun, a 20% angle, and she’s been working well and steadily over the FG course. #4 KIOWA’S QUEEN B showed a nice late run in her debut over the EVD turf and today gets some more distance as she tries 5 ½ over the main track. #6 ZEALUNAR has gone favored in all three of her lifetime starts and today races fresh off of a 4 month break as she makes her first FG start.
