#3 LUCKY TRADITION goes route to sprint today which is how he landed his maiden win. #1 OUTFITTER seeks two in a row after a sharp maiden win on the turf at Remington. #7 VICTORY READY is the mystery horse in here coming off of a layoff of over a year after showing promise as a two year old at CD last spring.

#5 TRUE PROPHET cuts back in distance, gets back in with state-breds, and makes his third start off of a layoff. #2 PASS BY THE HOUSE hasn’t been seen since the FG meet last season, but he did turn in a couple of decent performances at about this level while going longer. #9 WHOA WHAM has hit the board quite few times in his career and could be a factor again today if he runs one of his better races.

#8 FRIJILIANA is by sire Mutakddim who gets winners with 20% of his first time starters and she races here off of a sharp 4 furlong bullet gate work. #6 HUNT FOR CANDIE hasn’t missed the trifecta yet and today will be making her first start over regular dirt and her second since adding lasix. #1 ADDY ANNIE only missed by ½ a length at 53-1 when trying a stakes race as a maiden last July and today adds the blinkers after a good 3rd place finish at Delta in a MSW.

#4 HELLA BELLA should stay a decent price as a LA bred taking on open company. She’s been in the money in more than half of her races this year and now cuts back from 7 furlongs down to 6. #6 DAY TRIPPI also cuts back in distance and now get back on regular dirt which it seems that she may prefer although she is racing out of condition here today. #3 O NIGHT DIVINE is yet another who gets a distance cut back as she seeks two in a row after her recent win at LAD as the heavy favorite.

#2 BELEND is looking for his first win of 2009 but he does have four 2nd place finishes and a solid turf record. #4 LOUISIANA DUDE also has a good grass record and he’s been in good form lately with 6 exacta finishes to show for his 10 starts this year. #7 LEE CITY SLEW has the same thing going for him. Good turf form, good current races and he runs here off of a bullet work on October 30th.

#2 TOSS FOR CASH is going to be tough to beat if his recent EVD form holds, but notice that last year he didn’t fare very well at FG and in fact he’s 0-9 over the FG main track. So, is he in much better form now, or does he really hate it here? We should be able to get the answer today. #8 LACY TOO drops in for a tag after facing tougher and note that he does like it here with 4 wins over the FG main track, some at this 5k level, but against other state-breds. Today he faces open company. #6 VALID BRUSH usually runs a decent race and will likely be a factor again today.

#3 SAY THE WORD has had to endure a series of bad luck, tough trips, and off tracks. Today he should get a nice firm turf course as he returns to the track and surface where he gamely won his debut last season. #12 WITCH DOCTOR X tries the FG turf for the first time after a string of nice races over the LAD turf including his most recent, a 2nd place finish against a field of 12 at a big 21-1. #9 SEAN LAFITTE only has that one lifetime win, but has been in the exacta in half of his races including a couple on the EVD turf course.

Analysis:

There are many promising two year olds in this potential-filled maiden special weight race. #8 ZEE ARE ONE is from the first crop of the talented Roman Ruler and her dam, My White Corvette, is also the dam of none other than the champion millionaire filly, Stardom Bound. #6 SEVEN SHOOTER is another well-bred runner who looks live making his debut off of sharp works for trainer Bret Calhoun. #2 MILES HEIR has had some race experience with a couple of 2nd place finishes at Calder and will today be making his first start since being switched over the Asmussen barn.

#1 TURTLE CREEK BABE was a promising two year old filly out in SoCal last year when she was facing, and beating, the likes of Stardom Bound. She hasn’t run since January, or over anything but polytrack, and today will be making her grass debut for new trainer Bret Calhoun. #3 TRUE BREW doesn’t appear to have shown much in her last three allowance tries but those CD and AP races were particularly tough and she should find this field a bit easier to handle. #2 FORD GALLOP is still looking for that second win as she makes her 17th start today but she does have quite a few good races and near misses and today she’s going to give it a try with the blinkers.

#8 BILL CITY runs off of three trifecta finishes and, as a late stretch runner, he should benefit from the long FG stretch today. #10 MISSION POSSIBLE has been in the money in more than half of his races and now drops in class and gets back in with state-breds. #3 MACS PASS is hard to trust with his 0-22 record but he has been in the top three 7 times and he could be a factor again.
