#4 MALTESE DOG was much the best in his last race when he was 2nd as the favorite after a trouble-plagued trip. #3 FORT APACHE has had almost two months since his last race but this will be his third start off of an 8 month layoff and he could improve off of his last race where he was way wide around the turn and into the stretch. #7 BIANCHI’S BOY steps up in class off of a 3 ½ length win as the favorite in his last and he retains leading rider Robby Albarado.

#3 BITSY’S PARADE DAY has been close in her last two at today’s flat mile distance and after being a front-runner for most of her early career has seemed to relax since stretching out and losing the blinkers. #2 ANTE UP WHIT is on the triple class drop and gets Albarado aboard for the first time. #11 AMIABANDIT does her best when she closes and today she should get plenty of pace to chase and she gets apprentice rider Dustin Dugas aboard for the first time.

#2 JO JO JEWEL didn’t show much in his debut after breaking from a wide post but could improve today going two turns for his second lifetime start with first time lasix. #9 AFTERNOON DEPUTY also stretches out for the first time but hasn’t run a bad race yet and runs for trainer Sam David Jr. who is 20% on the sprint/route angle. #11 REGENCY SQUARE was 2nd best in his last where he added blinkers for the first time and chased a chalky runaway winner.

#10 FILLY IN PINK drops into a good spot here in this race for runners who have not won 2 races since September 22nd, 2008. Note that her most recent wins were here this meet at the FG in January and on September 21st, 2008. #4 GYPSY TRIAL is on the big class drop, going from 17,500k to 5k, for leading trainer Steve Asmussen with Shaun Bridgmohan back aboard. #3 DREAMSFOREVER has to be considered dangerous running for trainer Keith Bourgeois with Cisco Torres back aboard.

#2 AUTONOMOUS will add blinkers and get back into a sprint off of a sharp four furlong work for trainer Tom Amoss. #5 PEACEPIPE HIGH is eligible to improve on the quadruple drop and also adding blinkers as he gets back around one turn with John Jacinto aboard for the first time and riding for trainer David Carroll for the first time. #7 DANCE N OFFICER was well-backed at 4-1 in his debut when he broke from the rail and showed good speed before fading, and today he gets Cisco Torres aboard for the first time and races here off of a bullet work on March 20th.

#1 RACHELSFINESTHOUR gets back into a claimer after a couple of decent efforts against allowance company. #10 MARA’S TIME makes her third start off of a year long layoff and drops in for a tag for the first time with Robby Albarado back aboard who has been aboard for both of her lifetime wins. #5 LUCKY SKAT was pretty much annihilated at the gate in her last start and could be a pace threat racing fresh today.

#11 LUNA DORADA doesn’t have the most ideal post position for this turf sprint but she has been facing tougher holding her own against Coy Cat and Lady Chace who ran one-two in the Bienville stakes on LA Derby day. #8 GENIVER has only missed the trifecta twice in her last 10 starts and races here off of a pair of sharp works with Jacinto back aboard. #4 GATORIZE takes a big step up in class today but could be live at a price as she makes her first start in two months for trainer Ralph Nicks who claimed her two starts back for only 5k and moved her up to 17,500k on the grass where she just missed by a neck at 21-1. She has had 5 steady works since then and now steps up again to take on this solid allowance field.

#3 BLACK DIAMOND BAY figures in this well matched field as he drops in class for trainer Larry Jones after a second best 2nd place finish behind the runaway winner Glamour Guy last time out, who himself was in for a tag for the first time. #5 LIQUID SILVER missed as the favorite last time out but was the victim of a brutal break that left him way behind the rest of the field, by almost 12 lengths at one point, and that is not where he wants to be in a race. He stretches out around two turns now for his second start off of the Keith Bourgeois claim. #4 GHETTO SUPERSTAR ran his best race this meet two starts back in a race that was taken off of the turf and he is now entered for the main track on the class drop for trainer Steve Asmussen with Shaun Bridgmohan back aboard.

#9 ORO TRIBUTO has run three good races this meet against this type of company, gaining ground each time, and was compromised by the poor break and a wide trip in his last start. #2 NOWANDFOREVERMORE is another who has been running well all meet and he is generally well-backed, but he hasn’t actually landed in the winner’s circle in over two years. #8 BRENDYN JO is another who has a chance in this competitive race with Shaun Bridgmohan riding for trainer Bret Calhoun for the first time this meet.

It's closing weekend and we're not messing around anymore! We have to get back in the black and that means we're not just looking for value, we're looking for live longshots. For the final three days every Value Play will be double digits on the morning line! #11 CONTESSA SLANEY took three starts to come around after more than a year away from the races. But last time out the 8-year-old mare ran a solid race to finish a clear second at 42-1. She has hit the board in 22 of 38 career starts. The entrant with the highest last-race Beyer is 12-1 on the morning line.

#4 FAVORITE ADMIRAL showed good early speed before fading in last, which is not a band angle for a young gelding who can still improve significantly from start to start. If he continues to improve, as he's done in his last two starts, he could certainly surprise this group. Note that he picks up Jamie Theriot, one of the meet's top riders. At 15-1 on the morning line he's worth a long look in the post parade.

#5 LEESTOWN LEGACY won a similar race on the main track in January. He hasn't had quite the same success on the turf but has won one on grass. In February he faced a tough $200,000 stakes field and then earlier this month he finished sixth in a rich optional claimer. That sixth was not bad, though, as he was less than five lengths behind the winner. At this level he should be competitive again, especially starting for a trainer whose horses have run well this season. He's 12-1 on the morning line, an enticing way to try to close out the day's last daily double.
