Starlight Racing (March 30): College Sports Theme Night With Groovy 7 Kicks Off Closing Weekend
2012 STARLIGHT RACING ANNOUNCED
Starlight Racing, the upscale nightlife experience with live music, DJs, drink specials and live Thoroughbred racing under the lights, closes out its run for the 2011-2012 meet with one final blowout on Friday, March 30.
Fair Grounds offers the first of 18 live races that day at 12:40 p.m., but the Starlight party will kick off at its usual 5 p.m. Musical headliners Groovy 7 take to the Clubhouse stage at 7 p.m, while DJ Kemistry in the Miller Lite Beer Garden spin nonstop until after the last race, about 9 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m.
Starlight racing offers two distinct experiences – a chic club atmosphere in the Miller Lite Beer Garden and a more sophisticated vibe in the Clubhouse. Other features of Starlight Racing include specialty cuisine from local food trucks including the Fry Bar and Fork in the Road and the ever-popular Starlight Dancers in their custom-made jockey outfits.
The theme for this final Stalright night -- College Sports -- will be reflected in the décor of the Miller Lite Beer Garden. Guests are encouraged to get in the spirit and dress in the jersey or colors of their favorite school.
Admission and Parking
General Admission to Fair Grounds for Starlight Racing is $5. TSCElite members receive free General Admission. Admission to the Clubhouse or the Miller Lite Beer Garden is an additional $5.
General parking at Fair Grounds is free. Valet parking is available for $10 and VIP Valet with priority service is $20.
