Big Texas Daddy (Ackerley Brothers Farm, Steve Asmussen, Shaun Bridgmohan)—Valid Expectations colt finished second by a head to Cool Bullet in the Dec. 19 Sugar Bowl Stakes. Broke maiden in debut at Lone Star Park and won Texas Stallion Stakes there. Is already a veteran of seven stakes races, though all have been at six furlongs or less. (updated Jan. 13)

Bravo Whiskey* (Bluegrass Hall, Neil Howard, Curt Bourque)—Smart Strike colt entered in Saturday’s six-furlong allowance (Race 3) at Fair Grounds. Won debut, a Dec. 14 six-furlong maiden special weight, by six lengths. Worked four furlongs Tuesday in :49. Possible for Feb. 20 Grade II Risen Star if he runs well Saturday. (updated Jan. 11)

Cool Bullet (Winmore LLC, Bob Estes, et al, Ray Murray and David Williams, Steve Margolis, Brian Hernandez Jr.)—Red Bullet colt won Dec. 19 Sugar Bowl Stakes at Fair Grounds, his second win of the meet after a Nov. 14 maiden claiming score by 6 ¼ lengths. Probable for Jan. 23 Grade III Lecomte, according to Margolis. Breezed five furlongs in 1:02 2/5 on Jan. 4 (updated Jan. 4)

Enumerate (Padua Stables, Steve Asmussen, Shane Sellers)—Finished third in two Fair Grounds stakes this season—the Dec. 19 Sugar Bowl and the Nov. 7 Old Hickory. Broke maiden at Churchill Downs in June, then finished second in the Grade II Sanford at Saratoga. Breezed five furlongs in 1:02 3/5 on Jan. 13. (updated Jan. 13)

Giant’s Tomb* (Sam-Son Farms, Mark Frostad, Patrick Husbands)--Awesome Again colt broke maiden at Woodbine in November and finished second in Dec. 5 Display Stakes. Has been working regularly at Fair Grounds and is possible for either the Jan. 23 Grade III Lecomte or an undetermined allowance, according to Mark Frostad’s assistant trainer, Hugh Chatman. Henceforth (Dogwood Stable, Dallas Stewart, Shane Sellers)—Hennesy colt set pace and held on for a close third in a Dec. 19 two-turn maiden special weight at Fair Grounds. Also finished third in a Nov. 22 six-furlong maiden special weight here. Breezed five furlongs in 1:03 2/5 on Jan. 7. (updated Jan. 7)

Hotep* (Sam-Son Farms, Mark Frostad, Robby Albarado)—A.P. Indy colt out of 2004 Woodbine Oaks winner Eye of the Sphynx is a full brother to Sam-Son’s 2009 Queen’s Plate winner Eye of the Leopard. Finished fourth in Jan. 3 two-turn allowance at Fair Grounds won by Stay Put. Probable for Jan. 22 turf allowance at Fair Grounds, according to Mark Frostad’s assistant trainer, Hugh Chatman. Island Soul* (Stonestreet Stables, Steve Asmussen, Brian Hernandez Jr.)—Perfect Soul colt finished second, a half-length behind Ricky Tick, in Dec. 19 two-turn maiden special weight at Fair Grounds. Finished third in debut, a Nov. 15 seven-furlong maiden special weight at Churchill Downs. Breezed five furlongs in 1:02 3/5 on Jan. 13.

Letsgetitonmon* (Bob Zollars and Mark Wagner, Steve Asmussen, Shaun Bridgmohan)—Maria’s Mon colt broke maiden at Arlington Park in July. Closed for third in the Jan. 3 two-turn allowance at Fair Grounds won by Stay Put. Worked five furlongs here on Jan. 13 in 1:03 1/5. (updated Jan. 13)

Magic Max (George Bolton, Carson Levit and Barry Lipm, Steve Asmussen, Shaun Bridgmohan)—Yes It’s True colt entered in Saturday’s six-furlong allowance (Race 3) at Fair Grounds. Broke maiden at Churchill Downs in November via disqualification. Last time out finished seventh in Remington Park’s $200,000 Springboard Mile. Maximus Ruler* (Don Benge, Clark Hanna & M. Bell, Clark Hanna, Francisco Torres)—Roman Ruler colt broke maiden in a two-turn allowance at Churchill Downs in November. Probable for Jan. 23 Grade III Lecomte. Has been working regularaly at Fair Grounds. Breezed five furlongs on Jan. 13 in 1:02. Miles Heir* (William Sims, Steve Asmussen, Brian Hernandez Jr.)—Wildcat Heir colt entered in Saturday’s six-furlong allowance (Race 3) at Fair Grounds. Prince Rooney (Robert A. and Robet K. Gentry and Robbi Force, Steve Asmussen, Shaun Bridgmohan)—Tale of the Cat colt last raced in the Sept. 7 Grade I Hopeful at Saratoga, pressing the pace and fading to 12th. Won debut in a July 5 maiden special weight at Arlington Park and won the Aug. 1 $85,000 Mountaineer Juvenile by 15 lengths. Currently in training at Fair Grounds. (updated Jan. 13)
