Race 10-Classic
Had some technical difficulties after the Turf, and no, it wasn't because I threw my laptop out of the press box window in disgust. It's actually OK to have lost my last post, since it ended with me talking about some late doubles that are history after Autobeacat upset the Classic.
Our pick, Star Production, pretty much engaged in a match race with the eventual winner, staying within a half-length of one another pretty much the whole nine furlongs. Autobeacat led most of the way, with Star Production inside of him along the rail. Star Production put a head in front entering the stretched and looked poised to draw off, but Autobeacat wasn't having it. The 5-year-old Autocracy gelding dug in and the two battled through the stretch, wich Autocracy finally pushing to a definitive lead in the final sixteenth. It was a gutsy effort and a great finish to the main event.
Coming into the last we're now down a few bucks, but we are very interested in John Charles up there at 9-1. The exacta with Star Guitar over John Charles is over $100 right now, and we think we'll throw a few others into the mix to close out the day with a juicy lick.
