Midweek "Chalk Busters" from Brisnet ProfitLine sheets.
Racing returns to Churchill on Wednesday with the featured eighth race a one mile allowance on the main track for three-year-olds and up. The morning line favorite, pegged at 5/2, is Limestone Edge who was most recently a close second in an allowance at Keeneland and who ran fourth in last year's Lone Star Derby (G3). However, Limestone Edge will be conceding seven pounds to the year younger Parade Clown whose best effort this year was a fourth place finish in the Lane's End S. (G2) and who is the four point leader in the BRIS Prime Power rankings. Parade Clown is also top rated on the BRIS ProfitLine sheet which, while not being the favorite qualifies him as a "Chalk Buster" and potential overlay.
Another, and perhaps more significant overlay may be found via the ProfitLine in Wednesday's fifth race. Million Bells, at 6/1, is joint fourth morning line pick but is a Chalk Buster being top ranked on the ProfitLine at 4/1. Claimed from his last start, Million Bells cuts back to the distance at which he won two starts back at Oaklawn and, while rising in class, he is the clear Prime Power pick.
In the second race at Calder on Thursday, Meredith is a ProfitLine Chalk Buster. Top ranked on the Speed Last Race and Current Class categories in the BRIS Ultimate Race Summary, Meredith is ranked first on the Prime Power, nearly four points ahead of the morning line favorite, Wild Lisa. Significantly, Wild Lisa is no better than sixth on the ProfitLine sheet tabbing her as a vulnerable favorite and potential underlay.
A possible overlay on Churchill's Thursday card is found via ProfitLine in the sixth race. While the strong top ranked on the ProfitLine at 9/5, Great Doxology is a generous 7/2 second choice on the morning line. Claimed while winning her maiden in her last start, Great Doxology is the Prime Power pick, as well as being top on the Speed Last Race, Current Class and Late Pace Last Race categories in the Ultimate Race Summary.
Flyin'flirt qualifies as a Chalk Buster in the seventh race on the Thursday card at Arlington. Pegged at 6/1 as the fifth morning line choice Flyin'flirt is top on the ProfitLine at odds of 3/1. The five-year-old mare is also the Prime Power pick and has early speed which will be to her advantage over a track that has been kind to front runners.
