Media Roundup
It's been a few weeks since the last roundup so there's a lot to sift through. Today I'll present just the absolute best that I've seen over the last 14 days:
Alliance approves Fair Grounds (Matt Hegart, Daily Racing Form via ESPN.com)
Four stakes return a week later (Marcus Hersh, DRF via ESPN.com)
Trading books for bridles (Calhoun profile) (Hal Lundgren, Houston Chronicle)
Asmussen builds Lukas-like dynasty (Gary West, Fort Worth Star-Telegram)
Five Questions: Al Stall Jr. (Evan Hammonds, The Blood-Horse)
Champions Day has showcased top Louisiana-bres (Bob Fortus, The Times-Picayune)
Also, Marcus Hersh's story about Jamie Theriot and the spill that badly injured Renee Douglas is highly recommended (I can't link to DRF.com because it requires registration but believe me, this story is well worth seeking out).
And speaking of DRF, local correspondent Abram Himelstein's Neighborhood Story Project was featured in The Times-Picayune. It has nothing to do with racing but it's good for people to know what this turf writer is doing for our city.
Doers and dreamers (Susan Larson, The Times-Picayune)
