We played the chalk exacta and after being briefly interrupted by Break Up, Louisiana Champions Day returned to its regularly scheduled programming with another heavy favorite coming through.

Our choice took over around the turn but after a half in :45 we knew it would take a lot for her to hang on.

My top choice, #3-CARSON CITY BABE, is sitting up there at 9-2 with 3 MTP, which makes her the fourth choice in this field.

Not much to be gleaned fro the first stakes of the day, a starter handicap that is really a stakes event in name only. Mr. Porter poured it on in the stretch and won by 12.
