Churchill race 4: #1 SOCIAL PAGE. Makes her second start for trainer Michael Matz whose runners win at 18 percent (+0.85 ROI) in this situation. Has top pedigree with her sire A. P. Indy having an SPI of 5.00 and his stakes winning dam owning a DPI of 5.93.
Calder race 12: #12 MOJAVE. Although he draws a wide post, this first timer from Kathleen O'Connell's barn may be worth a look. Runners by her sire Alke have been winning their debuts at a 18 percent rate and O'Connell's first timers score at 15 percent with a ROI of +0.48. Colt posted a bullet work near the end if last month.
Churchill race 10: #8 INDIANAPOLIS. Ken McPeek introduced this Brazilian-bred at Keeneland when he finished a fine second. McPeek's second time starters win at a rate of 24 percent (+ 0.30 ROI) and first time on the grass at 20 percent.
Fair Grounds race 7: #2 GAELIC LASS. Makes first start since September for Tom Amoss whose runners win at 25 percent when returning off a 46-90 day layoff. Runners trained by Amoss score at 28 percent when trying the turf for the first time with a ROI of +0.24.
Fair Grounds race 10: #5 STARLITE STARBRITE. Debuting runner is by Mutakddim whose firsters win at 17 percent. Trainer Tom Amoss scores with 27 percent of his runners in maiden special weight events.
