Rachel Alexandra dominated the Oaks, as expected, meaning I'm alive in the Pick Four, along with every other bettor in America!
The official margin was 1 3/4, but the filly was geared down and Calvin Borel was practically doing cartwheels on her back in the final sixteenth. I can't think of anytime I've seen a jock get so animated before the wire. In the winner's circle trainer Hal Wiggins explained that Calvin was gesturing because he wanted to tell everyone that Rachel Alexandra was the real deal. Wiggins clearly didn't approve and said, "He could have told you all that after the race."
